Shot-stopper
Alphonse Areola (West Ham): His team were close to being trailing by six at Bournemouth but for him. Crucial performance, rose to the occasion and demonstrated real class. Excellent keeping to secure a 2-2 draw. Losing would have damaged their entire term.
Defenders
Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace): He's a contender for top performer. People will talk about Arsenal players. He's been the best performer without doubt.
Murillo (Nottingham Forest): You'd have been a crazy Forest fan to say 'Murillo nets and we defeat Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield'. The odds were huge prices on that. He performed brilliantly. He's becoming a dominant figure. He can really be a tough opponent. I'm happy to see him playing similar to before.
Malick Thiaw (Newcastle): I observed him a few times earlier in Italy for AC Milan and he struggled from his faults. However with the Magpies he's been dominant. He displays great strength and powerful and appears graceful. It looks like he has discovered a spiritual home.
Ferdi Kadioglu (Brighton): Not typically a left-back, leaning towards a modern type in attack. He's been a wonderful signing for Brighton. It's no shock at them discovering another star from obscurity? It seemed after selling Pervis Estupinan that was strange but the Seagulls understand better than most.
Midfielders
Sander Berge (Fulham) and Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest): Similar players and they're in for the same reason. Their sides were victorious, everyone will talk the scorers, but absent these individuals the squads falter. They are so good. They disrupt opposition, they join the offense.
Eberechi Eze (Arsenal): The man of the moment. Many Arsenal fans, including my son, expressed skepticism if he could be the man to get them over the top. Three goals in the key match and now they want to make a statue of him. Goals, composure, he dominated. The best player on the pitch.
Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa): Perhaps this represents aspect I share with Thomas Tuchel on - he is at a point now where it will prove extremely tough to drop Morgan Rogers. My view was he began well the term, In my opinion he seemed somewhat presumptuous and hoped he might secure a transfer to Chelsea, and likely desired it, but he appears to have found his footing. Two superb finishes clearly versus Leeds pulled his side from a deficit. He was the difference maker.
Strikers
Callum Wilson (West Ham): I noted he doesn't look his typical form. He appeared as if he'd lost a yard. Yet amazing. Simply phenomenal. He performed superbly. Phenomenal in his approach and with his two finishes.
Harvey Barnes (Newcastle): A really interesting player. He plays well, often more effective off the bench, but Anthony Gordon has an injury so he is required to feature. He missed a huge chance against Manchester City at 0-0 with his simplest attempt. But to have the mental fortitude to enter into tough scenarios and net two was impressive.
Manager
Sean Dyche (Nottingham Forest): He arrives and outperforms Arne Slot. A excellent strategy. It might have been five or six for Forest and all would agree.
