England Team Selection Revealed: Jude and Foden Omitted, Saka Returns
The England manager has opted to stick with the same England squad that triumphed against Andorra and produced a stellar display in Belgrade last month, leaving no room for the Real Madrid star and the Manchester City attacker in his selection for the forthcoming exhibition match against the Welsh side and the qualifying match in Latvia.
Although Foden making a strong case for a return to the squad after regaining his top condition at his club, and Jude Bellingham having returned for Real Madrid following a surgical procedure, the head coach has decided against selecting two of the nation's most prominent offensive stars. The young midfielder has started only once for his team since his return.
The England boss has found space for Bukayo Saka, who is fully recovered and has been reinstated in place of his injured Arsenal teammate Noni Madueke. The experienced attacker has not received a return to the squad.

Tuchel expressed his admiration for the energy in last month's squad and seems intent on keeping the same atmosphere. The Newcastle defender, who started at left-back in the convincing victory in Belgrade, has been ruled out due to a knee injury. The manager has opted against selecting a like-for-like substitute for the Newcastle player but has selected John Stones, who had to pull out previously. Tuchel has spoken about the centre-back's significance for England and has suggested deploying him in the middle of the park.
There is no place for the midfielder, who was called up last month but pulled out due to injury and was replaced by the Milan player.
The manager stated: “A mere three weeks after the last camp and the most recent victory, the latest display, so the question was why not bring the identical squad in because they established a benchmark. Now it is about creating habits out of it. We have regrettably a couple of fitness issues at the moment with Livramento and Madueke and we welcome of course the Arsenal forward in to take the place of Noni. The defender was a last-minute addition previously; he will stay in camp.”
